Odd-looking mesh hair textures on Mac
The viewer above is Firestorm 4.6.9 (42974) Dec 12 2014 11:37:34 (Firestorm-Releasex64) with OpenSimulator support but the same happens in earlier viewers.
Any ideas how to tweak the viewer preferences to get rid of the halo effect and crumpled textures?
It happens with other mesh hair, all of which look fine when I fire up an old PC laptop.

Re: Odd-looking mesh hair textures on Mac
Thanks, Roxy. The second reference looks useful. I'll experiment.
======
Edit: Unfortunately nothing changed.
It's odd, since mesh-based clothes work, but not mesh-based hair.
Sculptie hair renders OK, even the bits that use alpha textures to create a softer edge -- that is, the halo effect shown above doesn't happen.
I suspect it might be something to do with how the textures are rendered rather than the mesh model itself, since when I use control+shift+R the triangle network for the mesh hair looks complete, and a lot more efficient than that of the sculptie hair.
So it looks like I'll need to keep to sculptie hair for the time being.
