Re: Options in the Market

Sorry, I was painting with a broad brush and I didn't mean to disparage anyone who does still make system components. I suppose a better way to phrase it would be that the number of people making such items has shrunk by a very significant amount. BOM skins are of course still very popular as many m...

Re: Options in the Market

Is anybody at all interested in a concerted Community effort to outreach to SL creators and educate them as to potential, and security, of selling on Kitely Market? Absolutely no disrespect to our wonderful Kitely creators, but certainly the more the merrier. This has been attempted various times i...

Thank you both :). It was just a day-case for a mild hernia. I am pretty sore now but otherwise it all went well (I think). I just need to take it easy for a few days and I should be back to normal in a no time.

Worlds End 2024 - Yes, its finally happening - New releases and updates go!

Well, this has all taken rather a lot longer than planned, but here we are finally! :D I am pleased to announce the return of Worlds End Landscaping & Roleplay to the Kitely market. I wanted to kick things off with something suitably epic, and what could be more epic than giant mountains? https://d1...

Re: pbr

Hi Gregg, I went on a bit of a rant elsewhere on the forums about this. But to answer your question: "How does this effect one such as me and me non PBR textures" Short answer - it does not, in the immediate sense. Carry on as you were. If you want to ignore it entirely - your call. The confusion an...

Materialize - A FREE PBR Texturing Tool

As PBR looms on the horizon, where is the tool that will stand up for the little folk and make sure that they too can create stunning (or at least, pretty nice) PBR materials to make their old content nice and pretty again without giving all their money to the evil Adobe mafia? That tool, my friends...

Re: PBR = New tsunami of broken content?

I'm OK so therefore everyone is OK!!!! Glad we cleared that up :D Seriously though, sure its possible. The minimum VRAM requirement for Blender is 4GB. So I guess you are safe for a few more years yet. And actually, some people on lower performance machines are reporting better performance with the ...

Re: PBR = New tsunami of broken content?

Don't get me wrong, I welcome the introduction of PBR, so long as its done right. This whole idea that change and modernization is always good is a fallacy IMHO. Everything hinges on how change is implemented. Thoughtfully and with due consideration, or recklessly and incoherently. All the issues pe...
