Re: Space Navigator not working with High Sierra

Thanks for adding your comment.

I have access to Windows 10 another computer, so at some point in the next few days I'll check and see if I also have the same lack of interaction.

Space Navigator not working with High Sierra

Recently I upgraded to High Sierra from El Capitan. Had been using a SpaceNavigator without issues (and on previous Mac OS versions as well). However, the SpaceNavigator no longer works in Firestorm (neither does it work in the official Second Life viewer). I did a very thorough removal of the old d...

Re: Viewer stutter on four region world

Thank you for visiting the world... another variable tested. Upon your suggestion, I installed and ran Singularity viewer. The issue is the same; that is, the movement of the camera with Flycam stutters quite noticeably. (Singularity also crashed the first time on attempting to edit the linked parts...

Re: Viewer stutter on four region world

Update: Was able to unlink the item, and then delete some of the prims. The overall build was a building surrounded by trees and shrubs, made the three-plane way using alpha textures. I deleted all of the prims surrounding the building - it was landscaping that is easily replicated, and extraneous t...

Re: Viewer stutter on four region world

Oops! Update: I visited the Kitely merchants sandbox and without any content the FPS was around 120-160 and all was smooth. I had some trouble linking the structure I had built in its original world, but was able to add it to my inventory, and then rez it on the sandbox. I tried to put the linked it...

Re: Viewer stutter on four region world

Thanks for confirming that OpenSim is as it has been...always good to minimize the variables.

I will try your troubleshooting ideas and post feedback once I have new information.

As always, thank you for the prompt support.

Re: Viewer stutter on four region world

Hi Ilan, Thank you for the prompt reply... Does the stuttering occur when the draw distance is reduced? Yes, even at just 32 meters. Likewise the issue is the same at low or high graphics settings. Does it happen when facing in all directions in this world or only in some? I especially noticed it wh...

Viewer stutter on four region world

In the last few sessions on Kitely, the issue has arisen in which, on only a four region world (Cortile Lighthouse), the viewer 'stutters'... that is to say, while moving the point of view, the scene moves smoothly for a moment, then freezes, then 'jumps' to where it would have been had the movement...

Re: Avatar still sinks into the terrain

Thanks for the suggestions... I do not use an AO, but have had the problem continuously through the years. Oren had previously identified it as an OpenSim bug, which apparently still exists. As for BulletSim physics, that's an interesting idea I had not considered. It wasn't even an option when the ...

Avatar still sinks into the terrain

Since from when I first began using OpenSim on Kitely over three years ago, there has been the issue of the avatar occasionally sinking into the terrain. My original posts were (are) in the GetSatisfaction pages (https://getsatisfaction.com/kitely/topics/sinking_into_the_terrain). I still experience...
