Re: Physics

Tess Juel, excellent example, thanks, however my model has 9 verts, and yours 16, so technically I win haha. But I get your point about the wall thickness. If you want to be accurate with the physics then two walls are needed. But once your avi bumps into a wall, the camera angle is too close to be ...

Re: How to correctly upload mesh

Great post, some really useful information here, thanks.

I have done a post specifically about physics, and testing on the different physics engines in opensim, link below if you want to check it out.

Re: Physics

Doorway Ok so I am using a bit of mesh I often put into my builds, an arched doorway, slightly messy modelling heh. And I have changed the sim back to ubODE physics. The door mesh https://www.mediafire.com/convkey/9be2/4shueei5zpyke1azg.jpg The very simple physics mesh https://www.mediafire.com/con...

Re: Physics

Ok.. so I have now logged off and gone into the world settings in Kitely. https://www.mediafire.com/convkey/f728/uxf3wvb65cjqperzg.jpg And I have selected ODE physics. The world took a few moments to change, and I logged back in. My bridge seems just as it was before, I can walk under it fine, and a...

Physics

Thanks to Ozwell Wayfarer for the brilliant article on general uploading. I am doing some testing specifically on physics and the different engines so wanted to share the results here. I can only share my own techniques, I am sure there are others, better than mine, but I am self taught, by trial an...

Re: ROSE CASTLE PURCHASE FOR $15.00

Thanks everyone for all the help and suggestions here. Mane is now in possession of a working Castle, the advert has been updated to include both versions. I have sent redeliveries to all who purchased the Castle, but some did not go through, so if anyone still needs a working copy, please do messag...

Re: ROSE CASTLE PURCHASE FOR $15.00

Thank you Snoots, Having just sat up till 6am, trying to figure out what is going on, I am very glad of your help. I am also grateful to Dot, for explaining how to change and find the current engine which is in use. So basically, spending a couple of months working on the upload of my Castle into Ki...

Re: ROSE CASTLE PURCHASE FOR $15.00

I would like to also add, that my other buildings have been constructed and tested in Kitely, so to avoid any further issues I will now edit them in the catalogue so that they may not be exported in future, and change the prices accordingly. I hope this may prevent any future problems with other gri...

Re: ROSE CASTLE PURCHASE FOR $15.00

Hello everyone. My apologies for coming late to this discussion. I am glad to now be aware of all the issues that my customers have had with my Castle in other grids, with other physics engines. Sadly I am not a very technical person, more of an artist who has taught themselves to create in 3D, so I...
