Re: Textures rezzing very slowly

What Kim says above is the main reason I brought this to attention. "If the 2D don't work, the 3D don't work." Of course, this isn't Kitely's fault. In fact, as Ilan states above he and Oren have traced the problem and come up with a solution. We're just waiting on Firestorm to implement it. But rig...

Re: Introduce Yourself...

Greetings Ron! Welcome to Kitely. Yes, it is deceptively simple. Your .lsl file should be in text format. Rez a prim, in the CONTENTS tab create a NEW SCRIPT, and paste your script into it. Save it, and good to go. Placing it in a prim can allow you to test it for bugs. From the prim you can drag th...

Re: Teleport Station

Having a bit of time on my hands today (can you imagine?)... I was re-reading this post. This reminds me that computers are like automobiles: there is so very, very much that can go wrong. When it's working well it's great. When it's not... where does one check first? And what makes it especially di...

Re: Terrain files

"There's always a way..." -- ancient dwagon wisdom Sell a gift card that the buyer can turn in, and place the OAR on Dropbox or a similar place. When someone buys it, IM them the link to use (with license honor-binding them to not share the file). There's no way I know of to protect an OAR file fro...

Re: Bug report: Locked / unlocked scripts unreadable

I confirm Ilan's expanded experience. When relogging, unlocking and trying to read the script, I get the system message: "Unable to load the script. Please try again." However, the script still functions. Then as Ilan states, when the shift-drag is done, BOTH object scripts become visible. As Ada an ...

Re: Missing Default Textures and Materials??? Can't Post Product.

I'm just shooting from the hip here. Sometimes on all worlds ranging from SL to opensim to Kitely to you name it... prims and objects can become "broken". This means that they look fine, should work, but don't work for some undefined reason. There is no way to "fix" them; they are permanently malfun...

Re: Slow Loading Terrain Textures

Snoots and Ilan, I appreciate the realism. It's a nice idea to have Opensim completely separated from SL, whether or not it could ever happen remains to be seen... but yes, finding funds to pay them would be difficult. Actually, this is the interesting thing... and I'm going to include a personal c...
