Re: NEW THREAD: JOKE OF THE DAY
While camping, Sherlock Holmes asked Watson to look up and surmise their situation. Watson replied, "Well, when I look up to the heavens and see the vast number of stars and the orderliness of the Universe, as well as the complexity of life on Earth and the incredible number of symbiotic relationshi...

LOL I actually figured that out AFTER I left the forum post. Never fails. duh.Ilan Tochner wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2024 9:37 pmHi Snoots,
Keep it at 20m then the -80m offset from your original 100m water height will result in the water level you want.

Re: For my friends to know...
I know this is a late reply and I haven't been around in a long time. Combination of the Covid era, real life and other issues. Gregg, am not aware of your current status. Hope you're doing better, or at least carrying on. Wanted to give you some encouragement: How many times have you sent me some l...

Re: Water height in OAR
If you load the oar with an offset of <0,0,-80> and then adjust the water height in the region/estate settings and rebake terrain you should be fine. I understand about loading the OAR with an offset, but what number should we plug into the water height in the region/estate settings? (Scuse my igno...

Re: NEW THREAD: JOKE OF THE DAY
Wow, I haven't been around in some time. So let's see... An American, an Englishman and an Irishman were sitting in a bar, each with an ale. The day was warm and there were lots of flies buzzing around. Almost at the same time three flies landed, one in each man's drink. The American tsk'd... picked...

Re: Respecting Intellectual Property
Such packs are great for Opensim... which has no upload fees. For Second Life, one has to calculate the benefit, because sure as earth has gravity LL is going to suck all the profit they can from upload fees. Every time I upload a mesh item there I just wince. Which is why I very, very seldom upload...

Re: Water height in OAR
Also, a little after-thought question. Is there any reason the water level can't be just raised to 100m on Kitely to match Sendalonde's parameters? Doesn't really matter since the worlds on Kitely are stand-alone "pods" and not connected to other regions. Or are there existing creations on the land ...

Re: Water height in OAR
I hadn't even thought about the land and water height. That is indeed a major issue / problem in moving from Discovery to... anywhere. I understand why Discovery set ocean heights to 100... but it makes exporting OARs tricky. Question: What would they need to do on Discovery's end to lower everythin...

Re: NEW THREAD: JOKE OF THE DAY-- The Three Piggies
Three little piggies were out in the barnyard with their mother. The piggy named Sunbeam asked, "Mother, why did you name me Sunbeam?" The mother answered, "The day you were born was dreary and overcast, but a small spot opened in the sky and a single sunbeam fell on your forehead. So I named you Su...
