Re: Roarin' Twenties Wearables Needed!

I thought I'd be done with Roth RC#2 and on to 20's costumes by now, but nooooo. More power outages scheduled for tomorrow. I'll stop making even suggestions of promises

Re: New Years' Eve? Roaring 20s?

I've been collecting fashion images from the 20's for some time, and, if it rains here, the fires are out and power outages no longer threatened, I might even get to it. Great idea!

Re: Saphira dev files.

I forgot to include the location of the "official" inworld distribution site for the most recent Ruth and Roth versions, running on Ai Austin's server. It's at: hop://login.osgrid.org/RuthAndRoth/128/128/26. If that changes, the GitHub page will have the most recent information. There is also a grou...

Re: Saphira dev files.

That's what I was trying to tell you - there is no Kitely version of Ruth and Roth mesh bodies. And won't be, because of licensing issues. Ruth and Roth is a teaching project, originally modeled by Shin Ingen, and has licensing not compatible with most for-profit enterprises. I see that you've found...

Re: Saphira dev files.

AFAIK Ruth and Roth are the way to go for creating clothing for mesh bodies in OS. I'm not sure that any other original (not stolen) mesh bodies are licensed to use outside of SL. If any are, I'd sure be interested. There are issues with Ruth and Roth licensing in Kitely, though not in the noncommer...

Re: Question About Mesh Avatars

If licensing is OK for importing to an OS grid (SL usually excluded, because of its TOS), the model has to be, usually, retopologized to make it suitable for skinning and vertex weighting. In English: remodeled so that it has evenly distributed vertices arranged in evenly spaced loops. Then it has t...

Re: Piano needed

Hi Elin,
There are a couple of free ones at the Arcadia-Aley Library - I 'think' they're in the warehouse with the Hobos and other Urban Blight builds. If you do an area search for piano they should turn up.

Re: .RAW Terrain Creation

I've done it, but it's been a few years. I didn't use a pre-existing height map, though, I created my own - I needed a simple smooth amphitheater, and I remember using the gradient tool to get that. Here are my notes, and I regret to say I have no idea where I got the information. Someone other than...

Re: Coopersville Edwardian Community - A Sneak Peek

Oh Koshari, I am so sorry for your loss. I need to apologize because there has been a delay in opening Coopersville. The man I've been living with for the last 12 years (in real life) died at the end of August -- so for obvious reasons I took a little break. I hope to get back to it soon, there is o...

Re: How to correctly upload mesh

ya and baking is buggy and painting takes time. I haven't tried ezbump - is there a link? I tried a couple of online normal map makers which no longer seem to exist and the Nvidia plugin for PS. I ended up paying for CrazyBump, which is somewhat crashy but saves a lot of time if the normal map shoul...
