Not a user but I suggest you search the forum (and elsewhere) for Builder's Buddy. Others may have better suggestions.

... bone will move with the mChest bone.   I stash armatures I built at GitHub/RuthAndRoth/Reference/AdaRadius, and still append from there.  Bento Buddy has some too, if you can pay the Lindens for them, and his dae exporter may work for fitted mesh. I haven't figured out the BB workflow yet.

If I'm not mistaken builder buddy is set to a max region size of 1024x1024 and you need to change that for it to work on a 8x8 world. I seem to recall this being discussed in the forums but I can't find the relevant post ATM.
