Re: Emails for class registration are failing

Actually a couple of additional points pre-entry: firstly, in this session and the previous one two female students arrived inworld without hair. I don't know whether it was the same avatar but might be worth checking. Easily fixed but it shouldn't happen. Secondly, we do need ways either to supply ...

Re: Emails for class registration are failing

...and the final student with issues received her confirmation email 3.5 hours later. Most students are now logged in -- just a couple with issues. OK, one weird situation resolved where two passwords still being required. Down to one issue. What do you mean by failing Graham? What are you seeing?

Re: Emails for class registration are failing

Bulk registration in advance of the class would help if only to alert teachers to possible issues that need attention. We've discussed this previously. Unfortunately there isn't much we can do to prevent some people's email servers from categorizing our email address verification messages as spam. W...

Re: Emails for class registration are failing

Did the students look in their spam folder? Yes Does their email service have an anti-spam authentication step that requires people emailing them reply to an autoreply before the email server will accept emails from that address? I don't know but will attempt to find out. It seems to have been a pr...

Emails for class registration are failing

Is this a general problem? Post-edit: Apologies for being overly dramatic. This was a face-to-face class and it isn't easy to take time out to provide more detail. Obviously if registrations were unavailable generally that would have been worth knowing. As it was, for the most part they were just sl...

Re: Lovely new map tiles

Out of curiosity, did it work? Also, is there a specific time of day when the map regenerates? Ok, I just thought to save myself the effort if you knew already Ilan. And thx Deuce for that info. I have seen it in opensim but I think those were done via changes in an ini file or something, I forget w...

Re: Question re premium members and access to sims

Automated would be good but another option would be to popup a reminder when a change is made: now change the inworld setting as well . Hi Graham, Most people never open the help so adding it there won't solve the problem. The real solution would be to connect the two systems so they will automatica...

Re: Suggested for Discussion: Getting Settled in Kitely

Unfortunately all three freebie worlds listed are M-rated and accordingly not available to all. I suggest changing one of the info boards so that it gives a notecard with the first two sections from Deuce's draft, including landmarks or web addresses of various freebie worlds for avatars (possibly i...

Re: 12 Suggestions From A New User To Kitely & OpenSim World

How is the password assigned during the registration process? Via email? Hi Lexi, Thank you for your feedback. We'll be changing the default grid login password for new users in the next release to be the same password they used to create their email/password based account. Accounts created using Tw...
