Re: Using the events calendars
As someone who plans inworld events, I try hard not to schedule events at the same time anyone else has scheduled one. In Sl, that is neither possible nor important, but while Kitely is still relatively small, I think it behooves us all not to double book events, thus forcing potential event guests...

Re: Kitely and Retention Statistics, among other things.
The retention stats are not comparable across grids because the characteristics of the entering population are probably different. The people differ at least in that they chose to enter a different grid. I would suggest that it is probably in Kitely's interest to start giving its growth stats more v...

Re: Kitely News: What needs doing
Are you meaning an inworld publication, Dot? Or one here in the forums? Or online somewhere else? I am not much in favor of duplicating work already being done and really do wonder how much attention folks pay to inworld publications. I am not necessarily against the idea, BTW, just trying to get a...

Re: Kitely News: What needs doing
I wonder if a first step might be to gather a team of individuals willing to act as reporters , to find the news and write about it (say just a paragraph or two each time). Then the material might be collected and collated (non-formatted at this stage) in a central spot. From there the material cou...

Re: Getting to Virunga Mountain
Here's an alternative HG route. First go to one of the OSgrid staging posts: hg.osgrid.org:80:jump4000 Then search for Virunga Mountain on the viewer world map. The first set of instructions did not work for me. I got region found, but Teleport remained inactive. The alternative above. provided by ...

Re: Introduce Yourself...
Relatively new to OpenSim in general, although looked at it off and on over the last six-seven years. Been in Second Life since 2007, but pretty much an observer now. Kitely is my primary location now, and used Zadaroo's OARs (and Linda Kellie's that are located there) to set up, so well on my way....

Please keep in mind -- virtual worlds are about people. That is the lesson of Blue Mars. Focus on the people.

Re: Would you use a PayPal-enabled Donation Box?
I would not be reluctant to use it, but would use Kitely Credit instead, because of the complexity. And because I always have the KC's

Re: Am I Just Stupid???
I apologize...I cannot figure out what is going on. ;) I have a Premium Account...for which I paid 13 bucks up front. It´s my understanding that having a Premium Account costs 20 bucks a month. Is this right? Fine so far. Now when I try to create a world, I get options that range from 15 to 99 doll...
