Re: "Set Home to Here" fails
Thank you Ilan! And gack, I just uninstalled Singularity. Which I like for its leanness, but need some features Firestorm has that are useful for managing worlds (such as Area Search filters). Switching between viewers made me crashy. Maybe I'll just use the drop downs on logging in and forget about...

"Set Home to Here" fails
I'm trying to set home at one of my worlds and it's silently failing. Not all my worlds, just the one. I see that there's a bug: https://jira.phoenixviewer.com/browse/FIRE-19894
Has anyone figured out a workaround? Is there another forum post on this (if there is, it didn't show up in Search)?

Re: Product won't list due to "missing texture"
What Brayla said. Note to those new at this: The smallest texture you can upload is 4x4. Plenty big enough for blank white and transparent textures. Be careful to use the same version (UUID) of each, so that servers and viewers don't have to keep track of more than one version. This happened a lot t...

Re: Chat range extension beyond 20m
I vote in favor of extension too. Though Avatar Repertory Theater has dealt with the restrictions successfully for years now, after much testing, in the way we construct our theaters. Shallower, with the backstage actors able to get within 20m of audience, and keeping audience seating close. Vivox T...

Re: History Month in August
Hi Freda! Yes! New Media Arts can host music and literary events at the Cookie II world. We have several theaters and other venues. Contact me at adaradius@gmail.com or Selby at selbyevans@gmail.com. Ada Are we starting the festival on the 1st and ending on the 31st? or is it precisely four weeks? I...

Re: History Month in August
Most Excellently Excellent. I haven't figured out what I want to or can do, but I'll think of something. What's the deadline for scheduling? We had an excellent storm of brains today. August works better for more folks, so I changed the name of the forum. There is no single theme. It's open to perso...

Re: Medieval Month
When are you thinking of doing it? I'm on overload right now with stuff, but this is right up my, and New Media Arts' alley. Ada History month does make a lot of sense. Would give more folks a chance to participate. And more specific time period events could happen down the line. Changing the title ...

Re: SoundScaping in Kitely and the HyperGrid
Welcome Hastur! I vividly remember when you started making sounds iSL - that's when I got a headset, lol. Hello! I am the owner of SoundScenes (originally known as Acoustic Alchemy in SL) and we are in the process of expanding to the Kitely Marketplace and the Hypergrid. I created a short (10 questi...

Re: Spring Merchant Fair - Info for Merchants
No worries. I was determined to participate this time with massive amounts of content, but I confess that it would have been a scramble to work around that pesky RL and get ready on time. Hey Everyone Sorry to say, but due to unforeseen personal reasons, I will most likely be out of the country for ...

Re: Region "border"
A quick and dirty way is to set your terrain editing tools to high and use the Flatten tool, dragging your mouse from the area that's at the correct height, out to the edge. It only takes a few minutes, even in a 16 world sim. (I recently did it, to make a sea lane around the whole thing and in the ...
