Re: Need for 1000+ avatars region?
How did they react to that Serendipity? :-) Oh, you mean what the the organizers thing? They largely ignored the comment. Not sure why. They lost a lot of people present who didn't note that the Google Hangout was going as an alternative. Better integration of inworld events, especially ones set up...

Hmm? Webkit can't handle html5?Graham Mills wrote:Yes, I think 8 is the limit and has been since forever. I have to confess that I'm more concerned about the lack of support for HTML5 since the Teapot viewer disappeared. Has anyone tried fixing that for themselves?

Re: Limit on MOAP objects active?
I did an experiment setting up several media screens. I noticed that I couldn't seem to get more than 8 or 9 to show the underlying url at once. What is the limit and in what range is it enforced? Can I have 8 or 9 media bearing prims at different points in a region? Seems so. Consistent across kit...

Re: Kitely will be down for a 2 hour upgrade cycle on May 18
The site will be down for maintenance on May 18 at 12:01 AM PST (midnight). Estimated downtime is 2 hours. As a software architect I am always curious when any online service goes down for not inconsequential time whether it is possible to so architect that system that all upgrades are hot with no ...

Hi Samantha, You're referring to Intel's Distributed Scene Graph module. We may offer such a service in the future but have no current plans to do so. Yes, that is the one. Perhaps if I get the time for the project I will attempt to produce a standalone on EC2 wired up for such. It would cost next ...

Re: Export Perm: How Much Should It Cost?
I think it should be totally market and per item driven. Basically whatever value users put on being able to use a particular item outside Kitely. So I think the question is incapable of being answered with any particular amount or at least that no amount or percentage should be predetermined across...

Re: Your opinion needed: Maturity Ratings for avatar skins
Hi Serendipity, I understand your objection but there isn't much I can do about it. Your definition of mundane mature behavior (e.g. taking a shower in the nude inside your world) falls into the Adult category in several of our main target markets. It is completely irrelevant whether I agree with y...

Re: Your opinion needed: Maturity Ratings for avatar skins
Thanks. Do you understand my objection to the big gap between a very tightly limited Moderate and the current definition of Adult? I think it is too large a gap without enough nuance for many people.Ilan Tochner wrote:Hi Serendipity,
We will add clarifications about what each of the maturity ratings mean.
