Re: Texturing Mesh
Well, Blender is not bad but it is sure a steep learning curve. I finally have time to spend on it and have been doing some of the online tutorials. The Machinamatrix ones are pretty good. It is pretty hard to simplify any large mesh after it is complete, ie downloaded ones. You really need to do th...

Re: Texturing Mesh
You can import an .obj file to Blender and then export it as a .dae, which can be uploaded to Kitely. Obj files are 3D files. Once they are in Blender, you can UV map them and apply textures or, if you are lucky, a texture will be included where you find the original file. I have found tons of free ...

Re: Categories: "Complete Avatars" vs "Avatar Component Bund
Well, I originally placed my items under Skins but it was suggested they should be under Avatar Component Bundles. I guess I can understand the reasoning here. Although my gut feeling is that if the item contains skin, shape, hair and eyes, it would be a Complete Avatar. I think I will add some clot...

Re: Time of year?
Ok, Ok...I will stop being a lurker and stop being so antisocial! lol You are right...if you only read the forums, you would think that there were no more than a dozen or so people involved with Kitely. I know there are many more in here on a fairly regular basis. From this day forward, I will try t...

Re: Unknown avatar for OAR import after upgrade to 0.7.6
I am hoping it is the former. i.e. if you are uploading as owner, but with a different name, the name will change to your Kitely name. if any unknown name is automatically changed, that would create a lot of problems.

Re: Panning not working properly
Ok...false alarms...sorry! Except for the avatar thing but that is only with Imprudence. The reason the alt-LMB and the other thing didn't work was apparently because I was using a two monitor set up, which is interesting. When I moved the open viewer back to my laptop screen, it worked fine! Maybe ...

Re: Panning not working properly
Well, I guess it's not really mesh...it's what you can see in the pic above where the head should be. Yeah, that's right, it doesn't support mesh. Anyway, not gonna worry about that problem for now. I'll just stick to Kitely. The skins work fine, just the alt-LMB that is not working. Also, when I tr...
