Re: World Archives without World Maps
I'm sorry, this was due to a bug, which should be fixed now. Please delete the failed World Archives and try again.

Re: Scripts and Organisation World Archives
Script permissions are tested according to the owner of the prim that contains the script. In your case, that is always the user RA. That's because all of the objects are owned by RA in the original world; so they're still owned by RA when you create a World Archive or OAR file; and they continue to...

Re: Scripts and Organisation World Archives
I assume you don't really want to use RA: you want your own avatar to be able to use the Apps. But just for information, the reason that RA got a scripting error is that this user doesn't have permission to use the function osSetDynamicTextureDataBlendFace. You could solve this by adding the user RA...

Re: Interesting script behavior with huge implications
@Oren, is there a document somewhere where this limitation is described Oren: 'OpenSim has a limit on the maximum of script state: it's 0.5 MB' It's not documented, I just saw this in the code. It didn't even have a constant... The limit is actually not in memory, but instead it's checked when the ...

Re: Interesting script behavior with huge implications
Would there be any possibility of increasing that limit? 500KB is really not much data these days for any kind of serious application. Also, would it be possible for a script to monitor its RAM usage, such as with llGetUsedMemory() on SL? I've talked this over with Ilan, and we decided to increase ...

Re: Interesting script behavior with huge implications
If you need to store a lot of data then perhaps using Notecards would work.

Re: Interesting script behavior with huge implications
OpenSim has a limit on the maximum of script state: it's 0.5 MB. This particular script, when it creates 10,000 strings, uses 3 MB.
It looks like OpenSim doesn't enforce this limit at runtime (a potential problem), but does enforce it when the region is restarted.

Re: "The parcel is restricted" even when logging into the Welcome Center
Just to be clear, once I realised I wasn't able to get into my last location ("John's Lab"), I had several times tried typing "Kitely Welcome Center" into the login location field (where it says "<Type region name>"), which had the results I reported. That's what I was referring to in that first po...

It's even worse! Now with everyone locked at home and baking, he's making me bake the bread myself!Frank SquirrelHerder wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 5:10 pmAwesome, Oren! Re: Forums profile images missing
I have fixed the problem. The last time we upgraded the forum software (phpBB), for some reason it turned off the setting that is used to display the profile images. So I just had to turn it back on...
