Re: Unable to communicate after teleport

Come to think of it-- when it happened to Serene and me, I tried relogging first. It did not correct until we had BOTH relogged. Yes, it's always been necessary for both parties to relog in my experience too. What usually happens with me is that a few minutes later I forget and TP again, and we hav...

Re: Unable to communicate after teleport

Searching my IM logs, the earliest reference I can find to the issue (assuming this is the same issue) is from October 2014, but in that I'm referring to it as a known problem so it predates even that time.

Re: Unable to communicate after teleport

This sounds like the issue we discussed back in November, which still plagues me every time I have to teleport while an IM conversation is ongoing. The only solution seems to be for both parties to relog.

Re: LSL functions you should NEVER call

The problem with long sleeps is that they can make the event they're in exceed the maximum time allowed for an event. In that case, the event is killed and, as you say, subsequent commands are not executed. This would also happen if, for example, you had a loop that took a long time to execute - it'...

Re: Touch to Wear Contents

Off the top of my head, I don't think it's possible for a script to change your shape, skin or system clothing. There is an OpenSim function to attach objects (osForceAttachToOtherAvatarFromInventory), but that's all.

Re: Fixing slow scripts

the Gurus of scripting on SL once convinced me that states are not a very useful programming control structure. They are slow (not a big deal in a door) and cause a lot of duplication of code. A script that stores the status of the door in an integer and has only one state is faster, smaller, and e...

Re: Copying prim contents into inventory

In the end, I did it by hand, small batches at a time, making sure that the contents were complete.

Copying prim contents into inventory

Has anyone found a reliable way of copying the contents of a prim into inventory? I have to rename 156 objects in a prim, which would take forever if I were to do it directly (the way the editor refreshes each time), so I thought I'd take them all into inventory, rename them there and then put them ...

Testing an OAR creation? (Suggestion)

Recently I've been trying to create an OAR file from a quite complex world, with lots of NPC notecards inside nested objects, etc, which have quite a long list of omitted objects in the Export World Report due to various permissions issues. It's proving to be quite a task. Unfortunately, each time I...

Re: "Loading contents..." when trying to view object content

Just to confirm that since the update I've not seen a single occurrence of this problem. Prim contents now load rapidly and successfully.

Again: thanks, guys. This is customer support par excellence!
