I have little interest in stuff that is exclusively out-of-world, we are all virtual people in a virtual world, so why leave ? Immersion is everything. I can confirm the duplicate friend requests - via hypergrid, but presumably not so much local.
DDD has repeated invites from Kitely peoples on login, usually when returning to os grid.

PS. I strongly recommend EVERYONE to setup the snap tools
