Re: SL Scripter comments, is this accurate

A newb OT question. I knew how we could monitor sim activity with rezz zones in SL watching for griefers. Are there security precautions one should take with public rezz zones in Kitely? In general I'd recommend you don't allow public rezzing in any world that is not a dedicated sandbox. Thanks Ila...

Re: Loosing minutes every month

Anyway, by mid-December I will probably be done with all these efforts, and more than a little burnt out. ;) So after a short rest, I would be willing to help establish one or both of the guides mentioned above. Agree with most of what you said, especially on the need for fashion content. Once peop...

Awesome! Will stop by early week. Thanks for the heads up.

Re: SL Scripter comments, is this accurate

So, when we gonna have a boat race? I gotta learn to sail again LOL...but we should organize a race sometime. I actually did more power boating and jet skiing. We could probably set that up on our 16 mega although I hadn't thought of that. Our sims in SL were mainly water and designed as large yach...

Re: SL Scripter comments, is this accurate

Hi Jean and Boo, Please make sure that the world you test in is in Addvanced Megaregion mode and let me know if you encounter any region-boundary-crossing issues. Good point Ilan. I could very well have been in when Advanced Megaregion was not enabled. I was uploading RAWs. Next time I test, I'll e...

Graham, please help me understand OSSL. I will definitely look it up for the detail but if you can give me the quick cliff notes that would be appreciated.

Re: SL Scripter comments, is this accurate

Thanks Minethere, Sherrie, Dundridge, and Marstol! These are very helpful and I have a much better perspective on OS and especially the Bullet engine. Sherrie and Minethere's comments on the new Physics engine added that to me list of things to look at downstream. Dundridge, thank you for walking me...

Re: SL Scripter comments, is this accurate

Actually, I find your "rambling" refreshing. I am a total newb re: OS. Just found it a little over a week ago looking for a non-SL solution. Found Kitely pretty quick have reading a lot of Metaverse Business articles. This forum, Ilan and Oren, convinced me to dip toe in water. Looks like it might b...

Re: Using Stored Inventory

Great thread from several perspectives.

Nikita, you have a terrific store in the SL Marketplace. It will be great to have your content on the Kitely Market!

SL Scripter comments, is this accurate

I am not a scripter but had this conversation with an SL scripter who also builds water vehicles. If you have thoughts on the SL's scripters thinking, they would be helpful. Context: I wanted to see if a full perm water vehicle bought in SL could be brought over to Kitely so I could test sim crossin...
