A world can have up to 16 regions. If you create one world with 16 regions in it with your Premium account you will be charged extra for the 11 regions beyond the 5 that come with your account.
A region can be a world if you setup your world with a single region in it.

Re: Moving worlds together? Adding regions to world?
It would be cool to pick a spot on the grid and create regions in any form/fashion you desire. However, that's not how it works in Kitely. When you create a world you specify how many regions it will consist of. 1x1, 2x2, 3x3, or 4x4. Your worlds will always be "square", but you can certainly layout...

Re: Educational Class Questions
As for allowing access only to your students, you can setup a group that they are members of and set access to the world just to members of that group. You can change that at any time, so when you're ready to let the world see your work you open it up.

Re: Changing account types and regions
Hi Lily, As a Premium member you can be on your region for as long as you wish. :) The only time you would pay at that point is if you allow Regular accounts to access your region. As to your question about your existing region, it will be part of the 5 you get with your Premium account (assuming yo...

Re: Firestorm Viewer Release 4.6.1.40478
From the change log notes:
"All downloads apart from Windows 64 bit and Linux 64 bit are Havok enabled and therefore can only connect to Second Life main grid and beta grid
They are not OpenSim compatible"
Does this mean the Mac version of the release won't run in Kitely?

Re: Problem with using Opensim for education
I have a region setup in Kitley for one of my online classes at teach for a university. Out of generally 35 students per session, I might have 1 or 2 (4 was my max) join me in my VW. The funny thing to me is the first week when everybody is introducing themselves, 90%+ claim they're into gaming. Yet...

Re: Importing from Blenderas .dae
Out of curiosity, once you import it, if you edit the object and go to set the texture, does it look like it's already pointed at a texture file? Then select something else and reselect what it was on, and the texture shows? That has been my experience and I am very, very novice in this space.

Hello, I have a friend who is trying to use the recommended Firestorm version by kitely on Mac Mavericks OS X. And voice just does not work. He mentioned that things were working with Mac OS X Mountain Lion but stopped working once he upgraded to 'Mavericks'. Does anybody know if there is a version...

Re: How to rent out parcels in Kitely?
I would imagine that most of the people who plan to rent out homes/apartments/land/etc. have a fixed-price Kitely world and therefore won't be billed extra no matter how much time their tenants spend in-world. Duh. Not sure what I was thinking in my post. Still, and interesting concept here in Kite...
