Re: Suggestions for the Website Home Page

Koshari does have a point, especially with respect to the remoteness of accessing links to the forum and other sources of more up to date information and help. Could I suggest looking at the order of items in the "Go To" submenu? How many times the different entries are looked at, and maybe restruct...

Re: New Kitely Twitter Account

A group of us have been meeting inworld to play a game of cards each week for over 10 years. Here's our latest gathering, in Coopersville on Kitely.

Re: New Dedicated Server Pricing

Thanks, Ilan. That explains it. The Megaworld is a grandfathered option. I had forgotten they were not “always on”, but the blogpost about them is clear: https://www.kitely.com/virtual-world-news/2020/10/22/limited-time-offer-for-mega-worlds/ To rent a sim on Tessin (the always on world) costs just ...

Re: New Dedicated Server Pricing

Is Coopersville an always on world? I've experienced something similar to what Min describes even though it is a 64-region world. When entering Coopersville from the viewer login page I often end up in Kitely Transfer Station unless there is someone already in Coopersville. That doesn't seem to happ...

Re: New Dedicated Server Pricing

Zaha, some of those with "always on" worlds rent out full-sim islands for a very reasonable price. Would one of those meet your needs?

See for example Tessin (https://www.kitely.com/virtual-world/Tr ... ead/Tessin) and Coopersville (viewtopic.php?f=15&t=6282).

Has this been risk-assessed for Covid?

Having said that, thanks for putting this on -- sounds a lovely event!

Re: exporting items to my computer

Here's a suggestion to help minimise costs: Wait until the last week of a calendar month, then set up a new Kitely Starter World -- flat land would be easiest. Kitely is very fair and only charges what is left of the month ($14.95 pro rata), so this cost would be roughly $3 or $4 dollars (even less ...

Re: Welcome Center: Broken Starter Pack

Hello Feathalion

Many thanks for pointing this out. I checked the board with an alt, and it was indeed broken yesterday.

However, it now appears to be fixed (I guess Ilan was able to sort it out).

Re: exporting items to my computer

To save an OAR on Kitely, do this: Go to https://www.kitely.com/myworlds and, in the row for the world you want to save as an OAR, click "Manage" in the Actions column on the right. Go to the "Files" tab in the dialog box that opens up. Click the "Export World" button. This will create an OAR file o...

Re: Most of My Worlds Are Down

I’m using pCloud. They had a very good “lifetime” deal for 2 TB of cloud storage — I was fed up with Dropbox’s subscription model. One of the options from pCloud is “video streaming” under “Media and usability” — would that do what you need? See https://www.pcloud.com/cloud-storage-pricing-plans.htm...
