Re: To export or not to export, that is the question.

There's a lot more metaverse users outside Kitely than inside Kitely, so I think not allowing export is cutting yourself off.

Re: Flexi on prim in linked object wont work

I don't know why it wouldn't work. For example, a flexible one prim flag, linked to a pole, will flex either with the wind or if the pole is moved. If the pole and flag are linked to a drivable vehicle, so they become parts of the vehicle, the flag will flex with both the wind and the vehicle moveme...

Re: Texture Shopping

Le Mog may be useful. It says "Libres de Droits", which I take to mean you can use them as you wish. http://www.lemog.fr/lemog_textures/index.php cgtextures can be useful, but as I understand the terms, you couldn't distribute anything made with them in OpenSim. However, you can use them in builds w...

Re: I can't mark as exportable, a object that I created.

I don't think you're doing anything wrong. If I recall rightly, Kitely began allowing export before the tick box was available in the viewer, and have never used it. The method used is to enable Copy and Transfer permissions, then it should be exportable. For example, full perm items can be saved as...

Re: changes for Bullet non-physical flying vehicles?

Typically, there will be a line like llSetVehicleVectorParam(VEHICLE_ANGULAR_MOTOR_DIRECTION, <0,0,yaw>); The variable yaw determines the amount of rotation , e.g. how sensitive the steering is, and would need to be much larger for BulletSim than for ODE, at least 10 times, possibly 100 times. That ...

Re: Free Pirate Booty!

There's a mesh Mayflower in the harbour at Quayside, which is free to copy. This came from Blendswap on a Creative Commons attribution licence. There's a notecard in the contents with details of the original author and source address. The sails are separate from the hull, they all come off as one pi...

Re: Free Pirate Booty!

The complete Stormhaven Oar is available free at OpenSim Creations on http://opensim-creations.com/2014/06/24/stormhaven-port-aurora-oar-june-challenge/ Jamie Wright put it together as a setting for 8 new avatars she produced for the June Challenge, which was on a nautical theme. Aside from her own ...
