Re: Tool for working with the system avatar
Seems great but I'm sure I'm not the only one who are a little bit confused about the scope of the project so can you explain a little bit in simple layman terms? A few questions off the top of my head: Is this intended to be a replacement for the sadly outdated existing system avatar? Eventually y...

Re: Tool for working with the system avatar
I've added some files to the New Media Arts Github - a replica of the mesh attachment armature in Blender, a replica of the system avatar armature in Blender, revised the worksheet. To do: take another look at the way the male avatar is calculated, I had it wrong, and there isn't any useful document...

Tool for working with the system avatar
For anyone who is working on mesh attachments for the system avatar, I just uploaded the work I've been doing on the viewer/Character folder, where avatar definitions live. There's a Blender file there that's a replica of the mesh, warts and all, along with the spreadsheets and such I used to get fr...

Re: How to make good mesh physics
It can get tricky for complex builds with curved surfaces. I finally got my whale house figured out, but it took a while and much help. The problems: couldn't get a second door to work (still can't), the physics model was arriving in the viewer not lined up with the visible mesh, too many pieces in ...

I always liked the LL selection and organization. OS needs something as good, or better.

bulk changes to products
Is there a way, or could there be a way, to add something to all my product listings? In this case, a notecard with grid locations, or a folder of landmarks to where I currently have shops. I'm doing it one at a time, not a big problem right now, but will be if I add all the stuff I have in my pipel...

Re: problems uploading to Kitely Market
yes, other products are going to my inventory from test delivery with no problem. The debug version of the new product is not. With or without the Export box checked. UPDATE: I don't know what changed, but the debug did arrive in my Inventory, even though the KM website is giving me a false error me...

I was in Kitely in my Kitely avatar. I'll check it again.

problems uploading to Kitely Market
I have a complex build - a largish mesh building made entirely of curved surfaces, a physics prim in the linkset, not that many textures. I uploaded it to KM, it threw "2 errors". I tried to down load the debugged version, and the website said it couldn't deliver it. Ideas?

Re: Secondlife--> Opensim
Easy for you, easy for me, ya. Not so easy for beginners. Blender and Gimp aren't easy for beginners so not much change there. ;) Exactly. A few of us teach at least a couple of times a week, focusing on free open-source software tools that anyone can get. As much teacher training as artist trainin...
