Re: Kitely Educators Group

Hi Ghaelen I've sent you an invite (the group currently has 26 members so not entirely nebulous :) ) and the listserv details are here . I agree that the VWBPE is an excellent conference experience although I didn't make it to much of last year's. Hopefully I'll get to see more this year with Hyperg...

Re: Kitely Educators Group

I note that the OSGrid VWBPE14 strand (April 9-14th) has sim demonstrations scheduled as well as the usual fare including post-conference grid explorations. It's obviously up to individuals as to how they engage with the VWBPE leviathan (I assume sim demonstrations via Hypergrid should be feasible b...

Re: Dragon's Teeth

Sadly it doesn't work with Nvidia mobile versions so I can't help. Nice to know about though. What's the issue?

Re: Kitely Educators Group

Hi Selby Thanks for your comment. Yes, I used to attend VWER when I was still in SL and I organised a grid visit during VWBPE a couple of years back when I was on another OpenSim grid (I had Fleep Tuque helping me ad hoc get the avatars from SL to OpenSim; she was amazing). With the advent of the Hy...

Re: Kitely Educators Group

I'm hoping to arrange a series of monthly visits to education-oriented worlds during the course of 2014. This is intended not just as an opportunity for educators to present a finished student experience but just as much to enable those getting started to outline their plans, get helpful feedback fr...

Contractors

I've had a request offline for information on contractors who develop custom education builds and content in OpenSim. If interested, please reply here with your name (if avatar, please enclose in quotes) and email, area of expertise (as a list of key terms, e.g. design, server, prim builds, mesh, sc...

Re: All is revealed...

Agreed. Worth noting that access for Regular Account users is turned on by default on metered worlds, i.e. the world owner pays 1 KC/min as of now. In my worlds, previously free-to-visit worlds were automatically set to Regular Account access, while ones where people had used their own minutes to vi...

Worth noting that access for Regular Account users is turned on by default on metered worlds, i.e. the world owner pays 1 KC/min as of now. Not really a change but if you only want access by Premium Account holders (who cost you nothing), you will need to deselect this under Manage|Access in the web...
