Re: Fulfillment University world DOA earlier today

I checked out Oren's version of Universal Campus (which is the full version with the awesome microscopes; 43 K prims total). I agree that there is a persistent difference in fps depending on which way you are looking though my frame rates at the medium setting (128 m draw distance) are much higher: ...

Re: Fulfillment University world DOA earlier today

Fair comment re hypergrid but it was enough to put me off and, of course, you may wish to extend your meetings to hypergrid visitors from February or thereabouts. Admittedly the Kitely Universal Campus is a cut-down version without the 63-prim microscopes in the lab. Even so I can't help thinking th...

Re: Continuous Link Set Limit

I think the search in the forum is hierarchical. If you do it at Board level then it just searches the Board you are in. If you do it at Forum level then it searches all the Boards. In this case I suspect the link was in a different Board and I was just being lazy by not giving you the direct link. ...

Re: Continuous Link Set Limit

There's a thread called Linking limit -- or try searching on Klein. My record was 8000 approx but I don't claim that's practical for everyday building.

I think Ener's scaling back http://iliveisl.com/kitely-pay-as-you-play-changes/

update: I find the blog ambiguous in some respects. Ignore the above interpretation.

Re: Fulfillment University world DOA earlier today

OK, that group now exists. Please join if you are interested. It's presently G-rated. Can I suggest we form a group called Crash Test Dummies or similar for the express purpose of testing builds? I know you can't replicate the exact conditions of a particular class (I believe slow connections among ...

Re: Importing a region to replace one in a multi region si

Perhaps worth mentioning that if you work offline, e.g. using sim-on-a-stick (SoaS), you also have access to a merge as well as a load command. That said, I've not used it with multi-region worlds so I'll let others chime in on how well it works.

Re: Clarity Over Land Options & Pricing

Meh, don't listen to him, go nuts! Thanks for the update on mesh Ozwell. Is there a forum for builders especially those building in mesh? I assume that the physics with mesh builds is the same i.e. I should build these separately? What's the name of your medieval village so I can take a lo...

Re: Fulfillment University world DOA earlier today

This was a common occurrence among hypergrid travellers that can be mitigated to a degree by phasing arrivals and a number of blamgate types were designed with that in mind. The Universal Campus is a lovely build but it does tend to lag in my experience when I've hypergridded classes into it on OSgr...

Re: Kitely pricing on HGB

X free hours to use exclusively in your metered world or can you visit other worlds? Apologies for the double post, but there's a snippet of information about the new Regular accounts in one of Ilan's comments that I don't remember seeing elsewhere (highlighted in bold). The new Regular Account incl...
