I think the search in the forum is hierarchical. If you do it at Board level then it just searches the Board you are in. If you do it at Forum level then it searches all the Boards. Perhaps worth mentioning that if you work offline, e.g. using sim-on-a-stick (SoaS), you also have access to a merge as well as a load command. That said, I've not used it with multi-region worlds so I'll let others chime in on how well it works.
