Re: Objects disappear as zoom closer.
Do you have any huge inksets in your build, Snoots? I a dwagon. Of course I haz huge linkets in my builds. Bwaahahahahahaa..., One of my builds i just under 1,000 prims, all linked. However, others of my builds may be only 5 prims. In my experience, this happens regardless of the number o...

Re: How to tell a mesh from a sculpt from a prim
EDIT: Check Tess's answer to this post below to see why this script is valuable. : ) Appreciate the script. Actually there's an easier way to tell if a prim is prim, mesh, or sculpt. Look at the OBJECT tab. It displays different results for all three items. Prims will have full descriptive stats on ...

Re: Vehicles vanishing on sim crossing
I am getting hints this may have to do with MESH boats compared to prim boats, as the object that is delf-destructing is mesh whereas another object that is all prims crosses safely. I'm running additional tests today to confirm this hypothesis.

Re: Objects disappear as zoom closer.
I have experienced this several times. The viewer was the only app I was actively using. I have an i5 quad core 3.8g, SSD hard drives, 8 gigs RAM, Geforce 1050 graphics card with 2 gigs dedicated RAM. My guess: Viewer cache issues: the system not recognizing what items have been loaded or not loaded...

Vehicles vanishing on sim crossing
Asking for help from the Kitely / Opensim community. This problem doesn't occur on Kitely so much because Kitely consists of individual, un-joined worlds without sim lines. However on other grids, I have noticed that a vehicle that crosses a sim line instantly vanishes. I'm asking about this here be...

Re: Objects disappear as zoom closer.
I have noticed this problem on multiple sims. It is quite often that I will log in, and my paws or feet will not appear. When I switch to wireframe mode and back, they suddenly appear. But if I don't take that step, they won't appear no matter how long I'm online. This doesn't always happen. It seem...

Re: Annoying debug messages.
I understand and agree with both Kayaker and Ilan. The greatest problem I have with these is that the message often is no help in identifying where and what script is sending the message... or where in the script the error is occurring. In other words, it is a very-basic and unhelpful debug notice s...

Re: I need help restoring my terrain
Kitely provides a ten-day, daily-backup rotation to its users. Few grids have such a no-goofing-off backup system that provides such security to their members. With their system you can accidentally destroy a week's worth of work and still have a really good chance of restoring it all. Rawks.

Is a great idea Selby. Two paw-thumbs up. Well, if dwagon paws had thumbs.

Re: Kitely Starter Avatars world
In defense of the Starter Island Team (Ada, Ilan, Dot and myself), one would not believe the hours and weeks and months of discussion and research that went into trying to make sure everything was family-friendly and totally legal . I remember discussing at the beginning of the project that these da...
