Re: Hypergrid Travel Problem

I am suddenly unable to jump to any Hypergrid address via the "paste the HG address into local chat and then clicking on it in the chat history" method. I've tried several different addresses and nothing. Meanwhile I can still teleport out to HG worlds via teleportal. When the local chat tele method...

Re: Metaverse Tours Starting May 29

Oh! It was a tour! I had been wondering why a whole bunch of people entered Donnybrook Beach around the same time yesterday. I was afraid I had forgot about a meeting or something. :D

Re: Hypergrid Travel Problem

Also: a suggestion for the Forums - how about a Hypergrid Support subcategory here? I would have put this thread there and I think visitors from other grids would be looking for such a subcategory if they visit these forums. I can't help you with your specific problem, Danko. But I agree that a Hyp...

Re: Bitcoins?

That's the failure of Gox, not bitcoin. And you are vastly incorrect about the system software. Its protocol is bulletproof and has never been hacked because it's unhackable. Exchanges and bitcoin are two entirely different things. Fair enough, I'll admit to being uninformed about Bitcoin. So it's ...

Re: Bitcoins?

Why you'll inevitably be using bitcoin within the next year, same way you use internet Hackers and thieves are already using Bitcoin the same way they use the internet. For reference I give you the collapse of MtGox in February 2014, which led to the "disappearance" of more than 700k Bitcoins, whic...

Re: Default world for logins?

Also note that if you click on the "Enter World" button on the world page for any Kitely world while not actually logged into Kitely, that request will override whatever you have set in the "Start at" field of your viewer when you next logon. I leave my "Start at" field in my viewer set to "Last Loc...

Re: KWC 1.3: showcase worlds

I have used the signboards in the Merchant's Hall. But I will only typically use them if I'm already in the KWC. Otherwise it is easier to search for worlds in the Explore Worlds part of the website. The idea of the "Kitely Welcome Center" being misnamed is an interesting one. It does kind of make t...

Re: Are we building for nobody?

I would almost say, Kitely should offer smaller worlds but with the same amount of prime. Mmm, another concept. They already do inasmuch as you can have a single-region world with 100k prims and 100 avatars. 256x256 meters isn't that overly large. I see the problem more as one of granularity. The w...
