Re: What's the difference between a snapshot and a texture?

Yes, I used this earlier to check default { state_entry() { // llSetTextureAnim() is a function that animates a texture on a face. llSetTextureAnim(ANIM_ON | SMOOTH | LOOP, ALL_SIDES,1,1,1.0, 1,0.05); // animate the script to scroll across all the faces. } }

Re: What's the difference between a snapshot and a texture?

I just use them as textures. Just drag onto a prim, and they'll script with something like anim smooth.
I'm using Replex, but I should think Firestorm would be the same.
They're all 512x512. The reason I would take them out is if I wanted to edit or resize them.

Re: Phantom prim --> llGetMass() return zero

I wonder if KeyFramed motion would be useful ? Objects are phantom by default.

Re: Rebutal to Slander by Adam01time

Following some controversy on a G+ discussion, I watched the technical section of one video on that channel. Both content and presentation were very poor, and I resolved not to waste any more time on it. It could be unfortunate if anyone took it seriously, although it seems unlikely. I suppose the t...

Re: Scripts Request

Can't the devs who build it figure out how to do these things so we can enjoy the same full immersion and interactive experiences? I don't get why it's lacking. Any ideas? There don't seem to be very many developers. That's one problem. The obvious solution is to become one. I'm trying hard not to....

Re: Scripts Request

Scripted collision detection sort of works with ODE, but not completely. It wasn't working properly with Bulletsim earlier last year, and there was an unresolved report for bullets not working in this respect. This is why Kayaker Magic switched his world back from Bulletsim to ODE, and then looked i...

Re: Scripts Request

On 5 and 6, I can't provide any scripts that work as required, there may not be any, although there probably will be in the near future. As general comments on what to look for: 5. gun that shoots bullets Best not shoot actual physical bullets, doesn't work well in OpenSim, and probably not at all w...

Re: SL Go Firestorm

Yes, I had a quick look at the website, and decided to wait.
I really want to try it with Android.
I don't really expect it will do very well on my mobile phone connection, but Android via wifi might be OK, and that could be useful.

I like The Cat and The Moon by: W. B. Yeats The cat went here and there And the moon spun round like a top, And the nearest kin of the moon, The creeping cat, looked up. Black Minnaloushe stared at the moon, For, wander and wail as he would, The pure cold light in the sky Troubled his animal blood. ...
