Re: Region controls not working?
Then I'm confused. When I log in, region damage is turned on, regardless of the setting of the region controls dialog. The setting is damage *off* in the region controls, and has been since it turned on and refused to be turned off. This is several days ago now, and everybody experienced that damage...

Re: Region controls not working?
My problem is that the Region tab on the region controls has no effect on damage, fly, or push -- it does not matter whether these checkboxes are selected or unselected. To say that you should just use the parcel controls and call it "problem solved" is just sidestepping the actual problem. The actu...

Region controls not working?
Recently, one of my estate managers accidentally turned damage on in a region, and now nobody can turn it off.
As world owner, I have no control over restrict-push, damage, block-fly, etc.
I'd like to have control over my sims again.

llPushObject problems
I'm having new problems with llPushObject -- that is, scripts that behaved as expected a couple of weeks ago now do not work. No changes made. Here's a simple example: default { touch_start(integer count) { llPushObject(llDetectedKey(0), <5000,0,800>, <0,0,0>, FALSE); } } Now, this script pushes the...

Re: OAR making weirdness
Aha, the blog post answers it. Copy and Transfer for next owner are not sufficient, the builders have to set "everyone can copy" as well. I'll get the builders to set that on all their objects.
Thanks

OAR making weirdness
I have a problem with a world I'm managing. We have a number of contractors etc building stuff for us, with the expectation of transferring ownership of their builds. We thought that taking OAR files would be a reasonable form of backup. However, the report shows hundreds of objects that were not in...

Re: Problems transferring items in boxes
I've spent a lot of time researching this issue, and my conclusion is that the ability to use "Copy To Inventory" isn't really usable by anyone except the object's owner, so it shouldn't be used to give items to other users. Ya, I've come to the same conclusion. It actually does allow you to get it...

Re: Problems transferring items in boxes
Please try the following experiment: 1) Rezz a new box. 2) Rezz new items of the type you'd like the box to contain and make certain the each have full Next Owner perms. 3) Add the items to the box. 4) Configure box to allow buying the items. Configuring any box to sell its contents works as expect...

Re: Problems transferring items in boxes
Hi Ilan The items were created inside Kitely. I'll ask Ada whether she set the perms in her inventory or in the box. I rezzed the items that could be rezzed (the skins, shapes, tattoos, etc, of course can't be), and all were empty. Note that one of the problem boxes contains nothing but animations. ...
