osNPCSay commands does not seem to work

Post by Ramesh Ramloll »

Hello there,

We are currently developing an interesting tool that controls NPCs but it seems that osNPCSay is not working here on my lands on Kitely. Can folks test the scripts using osNPCSay from this page and see if they work on their end?

Best regards,
Ramesh

Hi Ramesh,

Please note that script function's limitations based on its Owner, see: https://www.kitely.com/virtual-world-ne ... functions/

I'm guessing from the other thread that this was the issue John identified and solved previously. Is it sorted now (after a fashion) or is further testing required?

Hello
Ilan, I own land and script (everything basically),
looks like John has discussed this with you in January
https://www.kitely.com/virtual-world-ne ... functions/
After some investigation and testing with John, there is a 'weird solution' to it that suggests there is some bug lurking somewhere either on your end or opensim (we don't know yet).
'weird solution':
The land needs to have 'anyone can visit' option enabled, but you can still restrict to a 'group' to prevent griefers from coming in I suppose.
We have no idea why or how this 'access button' impacts NPC behaviors.

Are you able to rezz additional NPCs if the "Anyone can visit" option is disabled?
