Inworld messages

Quick question. So a lot of the time I am logged in to open sim. That does not mean I am engaged. I run a household, cooking, cleaning, actually talking with the fam etc. So more times than I can count, I get a break, sit down to do a little building and the screen is grayed out and I have the message that I have been logged out of Kitely. Fine. But before I click out of that screen I sometimes see that I got an inworld message. I've been logged out so I can't see the message. Is there somewhere they are stored?
