"Email module not configured"

Since the upgrade, all the SLOODLE objects I have rezzed have started continuously throwing the same error into the scripts error window every few seconds:

llGetNextEmail: Email module not configured

As you can imagine, this is very annoying. Can this be turned off?

Now I am also getting these annoying messages from my birds that were using llGetNextEmail().
Previously I reported never seeing these messages but found them waiting for me since the upgrade.

I have removed the call to llGetNextEmail() from all my birds and re-delivered them. But this message should not have appeared. What is the harm in asking for the next email when there are no emails waiting?

I presume that email just isn't set up in OpenSim.ini - I've noticed prior to the upgrade that sending email doesn't work (it failed silently).

Sometimes it's useful to be able to use email in scripts - would the easiest and best solution be to allow this?

EDIT TO ADD: This seems to be used all over in SLOODLE scripts - I guess I could hack them to remove it, but perhaps that's not the best solution. I don't offhand know what use SLOODLE makes of email.

We'll investigate what changed in OpenSim 0.8.0 regarding email functionality - AFAIK we haven't made any changes ourselves.
