Re: Kitely Market Export Problems

Hi Ilan
I checked the setup files which included, Robust.HG.ini, Robust.ini, GridCommon.ini and Opensim.ini. Most everything was fine with BaseURL set to farworldz.net. I did find the ip adddress set in the Opensim.ini and changed that to farworldz.net. I took sometime checking the files. I restarted the server and tried the sale for Talla Adam who was logged into the grid ok. I still got this error:

Avatar not found: "Talla Adam" at Farworldz.

Check that the avatar name is correct and try again.

I have a Windows 2008 server and I'm quite happy to let you access it remotely if you want to check for yourself. Everything is open on the desktop with the files open in notepad. Let me know and I will email the login information. Or I can just email you the files I have configured for checking.

I should also mention why this is important to me. I wanted to setup my standalone for Kitely exports but it was OS 8.0 and I discovered there was an issue with that version that prevented a clean setup. I promised the role players at my sims in Second Life I would have access to Kitely MP by the time we start a new season of cross grid role play which is due to start soon. I also wanted the improvements in 8.1 so setting up in grid mode became my choice. I thought the update would solve the MP export problem. Anyway, I hope we can figure this out. Thanks for your time.

I believe that has happened before with another customer of mine recently. I think there was even a thread on it somewhere. Ill try to find it.

What I dont understand is how two identical UUIDs can be generated for avatars of the same name on different grids? In both these cases the actual avatar name was the same, just originating on a different grid. But I would assume the UUIDs generated in each case would be different?

Hi Ozwell,

What usually happens is that people change the grid URI of an existing installation or restore a backup (which already has UUIDs for everything) and change the configuration settings on that. This causes issues as our system expects known avatar UUIDs to belong to known grid URIs. This is done to prevent people from stealing content by seeing the owner of a rezzed object and configuring their avatar to have that UUID on their standlone before teleporting into our grid.

This then requires our involvement to delete the old association between the avatar and grid UUIDs to enable the new association to be created.

Hi Gaga,

Can you please create an avatar called "Testing Ilan" on your grid so I can run a few delivery tests myself?

Hi Ilan

You can create the test avatar at http://farworldz.net:8002/wifi/index.html so you will have the password. It's late now for me so I will be back tomorrow. The grid is open.

Hi Gaga,

I found the problem with the avatar "Talla Adam @ Farworldz", and I believe I've fixed it. I have just sent a small item to that avatar successfully.

As to other users, such as the testing user Ilan asked for: for some reason we are unable to access those users. When we request their information from your grid (their "Server URLs"), we don't get a response. So something is misconfigured there. Since we *did* manage to send an item to the "Talla Adam" avatar, it seems that the problem is only with new users. Perhaps you could check the "UserAccounts" table to see if these avatars have any fields that are different from the avatar "Talla Adam"? Or maybe there's a whitelist or blacklist somewhere that only allows grid gods (which I assume Talla Adam is) to use Hypergrid.

Hi Oren

Well, I can say Talla Adam is not a grid god, Oren. I checked via Wifi admin the flags and user level for Talla Adam and those for Testing Ilan . Both are the same, level=0, flags=0, and Title = Local User in both cases. Only Admin User is level 200 & Wifi Admin level set to 100.

I also attempted a delivery for Talla Adam at Farworldz and, though the transaction compleated at the payment stage, delvery failed. I got the IM at Farworldz ok but when I clicked on the link I got an error message: SSL handshake failed. So the delivery failed.

On the last point, are you saying you can't login Testing Ilan? or you can't access the grid at all?

Hi Gaga,

The problem is with server to server communications. Our server queries your server for a particular user (e.g. "Talla Adam"). Your server properly returns the result. However when our server follows up by requesting the list of server URIs your server returns an empty response when it should return a list of server URIs to which our server can connect for various services. This means there is some grid misconfiguration on your end.

As for the SSL error: Is your viewer configured to open links in an external browser (Firefox, Chrome, etc.) or did you set it up to open links inside the viewer itself? (this is a viewer preference, the default is to use an external browser)

Hi Ilan

I did as you said and resent the IM from the MP and changed my viewer to open a web page externally and that solved the issue. The product was delivered ok. Thanks for putting me right on that.

I re-checked Robust.HG.ini on my server and found all but the /welcome commented out. I un-commented all but the commerce uri then ran get_grid_info.
The result was this...

<gridinfo>
<gridnick>farworldz</gridnick>
<register>http://farworldz.net/register</register>
<gridname>Farworldz</gridname>
<gatekeeper>http://farworldz.net:8002/</gatekeeper>
<password>http://farworldz.net/password</password>
<platform>OpenSim</platform>
<login>http://farworldz.net:8002/</login>
<welcome>http://farworldz.net/welcome</welcome>
<about>http://farworldz.net/about/</about>
<help>http://farworldz.net/help</help>
<uas>http://farworldz.net:8002/</uas>
</gridinfo>

I guess this is the info your server is looking for but I can't find anything else that might be misconfigured.
