Since one week media I'm playing in Kitely (e.g. using my videoplayer which worked perfectly for many months now) come without sound. Audiostreams come through without problems.
I thought it is due to my viewer (Firestorm) and made a clean reinstall - no change. I tried Singularity - the same!
I tried swithching on Media-Filter: arbitrarily - without recognizable pattern web-pages request permission. If granted the video plays with sound. If I switch Media-Fikter off. The same video runs without sound.
I have no idea what's going on - any clues?

What world(s) have exhibited this problem? What is their region(s) maturity rating in the viewer?

it happens in all my regions with some small differences in behavior.
The regions are of all ratings - general, mature or adult.
Some more weired behavior:
In one of my worlds I have both audio and media url set. If my video-player tiggers the next media url to play it automatically also tiggers the audio url to play. It never did that before.
In another world it doesn't do this.
But in all worlds this lack of playing media-sound occurs. With exception for the arbitrary behavior if I activate media-filter.
Maybe someone could check in my sandbox if the video-player works for him/her (playinf video & sound) when media is enabled.

Are the viewers you used now newer versions than the viewer(s) you used to use when the problem didn't exist?

Hm .... the problem occured first with a Firestorm version that I had used for about 3 month without problem.
Then I tried to update to newset version .. same behavior ...
changed back to older versions ...same problem !
Guess it can easily be checked at my sandbox if it's specific to my viewer installation if someone checks if the player works for him/her there.

Did you do anything ..... sound started suddenly again!?

We haven't changed a thing Min.

Weired .....the effect went away after bothering me for a full week when I made a new web on a prim object and navigated to a video there.
Sound of media is back everywhere - also in the Merchants Sandbox (there I can only check web on a prim ... as I can't set media texture there)
