Re: Is Kitely down?
Hi Hillie,
Kitely isn't down. What message are you getting when you try to login? (I assume you're referring to logging in via the viewer as you've obviously posted on our website)

Hi Hillie,
I'm not sure I understand your reply. Are you currently able to login to the Kitely grid or not?

Re: Is Kitely down?
Clarification: Hillie was able to log into Kitely this morning -- I met her at KWC and chatted with her. Apparently it took her 1/2 hour to get a successful login. I wonder if she was having problems getting through to a server.Ilan Tochner wrote:Hi Hillie,

Re: Is Kitely down?
Do you know if she was fiddling with her login options during that time or where she was trying to login from? (Kitely Welcome Center was not down during any of that time).

Re: Is Kitely down?
She did not mention doing anything to login options. I did not ask about her location, but had the vague impression that it was not U.S. I know Amazon has a number of server sites around the world, but I don't know whether Kitely uses the nearest one.Ilan Tochner wrote:Do you know if she was fiddling with her login options during that time or where she was trying to login from? This noon, I had a login problem--first ever that I recall. It got partly thru login, to the line about getting region's capabilities. Stalled there. Then delivered the unable to connect message--check internet connection, etc. I tried again and connected promptly. She appeared a moment later. My guess is, we both ran into a problem at the server that AZ was fixing just then

Re: Is Kitely down?
We use Amazon CloudFront for static files (which can deliver from the Amazon datacenter nearest the user) but all our grid servers and simulators are located in Amazon West (in California).
Who's the "AZ" that you referred to in the last sentence?
