Message Lag/ Undelivered "Instant" Messages.
I logged in today to about 8 messages from different people. I thought some emergency was going on, until I checked the dates of the messages. Some of which were originally sent as far back 29th October.
It seems a bunch of offline IMs were undelivered for about a week.

Re: Serious Message Lag/ Undelivered "Instant" Messages.
Hi Ozwell,
If I'm not mistaken, offline IM messages are sent using UDP, which means that they can be lost in transmission, especially if you are receiving them in a sim that is currently experiencing a lot of network load. If that happens they should be resent again the next time you login. If this was indeed the cause it's possible to miss offline IMs multiple times. That said, unless you disabled this feature in your Kitely Account Settings page, you should receive email notifications about all offline IMs.

That would make sense I suppose while was organizsing the fair. I imagine the network load was rather high.
However, I have been in my own regions since the fair (nearly a week ago) and logged in multiple times since. So seems like there was a blockage somewhere. I have not been to or done anything special in the last week. So by your description of the problem, I would have expected the lost IMs to turn up sooner. The 29th is a week and a half ago!
I file my Kitely emails away and only refer to them if there is an issue I need to look back at. In this case, I was unaware of a problem.

Our offline IMs were delivered promptly and I haven't heard of anyone else encountering this problem before.
Can you please check whether our system had sent you email notifications of these offline IMs without delay?

I did look into that and yes, the emails did come through at the time correctly. Its just the IM messages that only got to me today. Basically everything from the 29th onwards was not delivered till today. As I said I have logged on multiple times since the 29th, and for most of that time have been in virtually empty regions.

Were the delayed IMs sent by Kitely users or by users from other grids? Do you know whether they were inside Kitely when they sent you those IMs?

Re: Message Lag/ Undelivered "Instant" Messages.
If some of the messages were from me, then, yes, I was logged on in Kitely on Intersections when I sent them. I was rezzing some of the hunt prizes from the Merchants Fair and expressing pleasure and thanks for their contents and quality.
Oz normally responds pretty quickly, but I've only received a reply today -- hence my suspicion that my IMs were caught by this.
