Ilan Tochner: As stated it has very little free space left and we need to add Events to it

Ilan Tochner: 1) Something like the existing Agenda view from Google Calendar, i.e. the way it is displayed in the post on our forums and in the Sign of the Kite website

Moonrise Azalee: Well then, the best that can be done is the events next to forums and most people do see at least a hint of the header of Forums. even me in my small monitor
Serene Jewell: My two cents... make the words "Destinations, New in Kitely Market, and New Forum Posts" smaller. Tighten up the space above them by a few pixels so that "New Forum Posts" will peek up over the edge of the their monitor. And make those rounded corners square like the Grid Info Box.
Selby Evans: Forum lines are of no use to me -- they open in IE and dont see me logged in. so I cant respond

Serene Jewell: It IS a bit of good info, but not worth the space. And it changes every time you log in. People figure that out quickly

Ilan Tochner: We use the data from Explore Worlds page Dot so we already show the publicly accessible worlds with the most people inside them (other than the two official kitely ones which are hard coded)
Moonrise Azalee: i love our log in page. As it is. To easily have forums and events display, squaring tables, smaller headers. but i agree screenshots/mock ups help lol
Ilan Tochner: This is a simple HTML page (the layout) so we can accept a better layout than the one we have now as a submission (we just don't promise to use it)
Serene Jewell: You can always do some A/B testing. Try it one way for one week, another way for another week, compare data.
Ilan Tochner: If you can create somethign more professional that addresses the goals of the viewer login page better than what we did then we'll love to have your input

Nathan Adored: you man the stereoscopic goggles? usually needs a supported viewer, but should work the same on any grid that supports that viewer
Ilan Tochner: There is support for VR mode in some viewers Don but the world needs to be very optimized and you need to have high end hardware to get a good enough frame rate

Serene Jewell: Those announcements go to my gmail account where the Google monster munches on them. Every once in a while I burp it (mass delete.)
Ilan Tochner: Our email is handled by our own system via Amazon, not an OpenSim module but yes, it isn't a standard part of OpenSim

I talked to Ilan last week about posting the chat from the weekly meetings here after the meeting. I didn't do it last week because it was full of timelines and personal announcements and I didn't have time to clean it up. But I did just post the chat from this week.

There is a lot of good information shared at these chats, but they are also sometimes like family gatherings and I wonder if posting them is ok. I mean the meeting IS open to anyone to attend.
