Kitely downtime due to DDoS (November 10, 2019)
On November 10, 2019 Kitely suffered a distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack originating from thousands of China-based servers and intended to make our system unavailable to our users. The attack began at 4:39PM PST and continued until we successfully blocked it less than an hour later. We've mitigated the issue and Kitely is back online. However, such attacks have been used to successfully bring down websites that belong to the world's biggest online service providers, so we can't guarantee that we'll be impervious to all similar attempts in the future. If we are targeted again, and our existing defenses do not suffice to prevent additional downtime, then please bear with us as we work to overcome the problem.
