Hi Selby,
Is it possible you're traveling to a grid that is still not using OpenSim 0.8.2? If so, the different folder type the two OpenSim systems each expect the My Suitecase folder to have may explain the problem you're encountering.

Possible and likely. My newer computer, using 64 bit Firestorm, still has the suitcase. I will check some grids that I go to often and see if I can find some using 8.2 before I go to them on my newer computer.Ilan Tochner wrote:Hi Selby,

Re: VarRegions and 10x faster loading of object contents
I had problems under OpenSim 0.9.0 with my OSgrid alt. It couldn't map teleport to Kitely (Teleport failed, internal error) and lost its suitcase. Clearing all caches had no effect. The Kitely avatar was unaffected using the same 64-bit FS although I haven't tried jumping to OSgrid and back.

OpenSim 0.9.0 is still very much under development. I wouldn't be surprised if it has issues with Hypergrid teleporting to grids that are running earlier versions of OpenSim.

Re: VarRegions and 10x faster loading of object contents
I installed the 64 bit version of Firestorm on my old computer (where I had problems with the 32 bit version). The Suitcase seems to work ok in the 64 bit version. That could provide an adequate fix for people with 64 bit computers.

Thanks, Judy. That information will be useful to some people. I will pass it along.Judy Muircastle 2 wrote:Selby I had the same problem with Firestorm and I switched to Replex viewer and it work great!

Re: VarRegions and 10x faster loading of object contents
Is there any way to have separate ground texture settings in the regions of a 2x2 or larger VarRegion? When Donnybrook Beach was an Advanced Megaregion I had the southwest region set up with the sand texture, and the other three regions had the basic grass ground texture. Now they are all sand. I'd like to change the other three regions back to grass it that is possible while leaving the SW region as sand.

Hi Deuce,
Unfortunetly no, Advanced Megaregions supported that feature but VarRegions only allow a single terrain textures setting (4 elevation-based textures) for the entire world.
