Bladyblue, could you perhaps post any other slogans you came up, please? I also see that Minethere helpfully started a Greeter Program Discussion Thread to save this thread from being disrailed -- thanks, Miney!

A few more one-liners:

Back up your Builds
(saving OARs)

Mess with Mesh
(no upload costs)

Pimp those Prims
(100K prims per world)

The bits in brackets summarise the suggested focus of the landing page.
----------------------
Edited to add the previous one-liners for convenience, since this is a new page in the thread:

Ilan:
Get a vacation home on Kitely on your own private island with 100,000 prims

Ada Radius:
Pricing, builder rights, customer support, prims, low lag - that's 5 ads right there.
Do you have enough prims? No? Click here
The first one is free, but you'll want more. A lot more [Minethere likes this]

Virtualbelfast Ireland:
Top of picture, the different groups… e.g.
builders - 100k prims
shoppers - fully integrated with marketplace
role players - up to 20 regions

Cider Jack:
Kitely on Cloud 9
Kick out the landlord! Own your own home in Kitely
Virtual Island -- Virtually Free

And in this thread:
As Seen In ...
OpenSim Made Simple

Bladyblue:
Tackle that big project without the big budget [Minethere likes this]

------------
And another one based on the "virtual" theme:
Virtual Living, Virtually Free
(where free = freedom)

I like the concept Blady, the question is whether calling a time-based billing world free won't cause antagonism with people coming to Kitely due to the ad ("it's not free if it isn't unlimited time" or something to that effect).

What do other people think?

I agree: focusing on the word "free" is likely to irritate people in this context.

One thought I had: What about actively promoting the Bronze Plan as the entry point, which Bladyblue's latest image hints at? The fee at US$5 per month is low enough for many people to cope with, and with that you get a sensible amount of time inworld (30 hours) AND two whole regions.

That should be enough for people to give Kitely a proper try-out, to see its potential for themselves and what they might want to do.

I like the focused short message Blady created and I think that the Bronze Plan may be a good way to get people to try Kitely - it sounds very cheap but not as improbable as Free for a full region and it provides enough time for people who just want to visit casually instead of relocate from SL.

Can anyone suggest a better way to get this point across? (I think we should try focusing on that selling point for now so we can get at least one ad finalized before we move to the other benefits we may wish to promote in other ads).

One note, if we're creating mockups it's best we do so with the sizes we'll need for SLUniverse:

Top Banner- 728x90 pixels
Square Banner - 200x200 pixels
Side Banner - 160x600 pixels

Perhaps we could brainstorm slogans around the theme of holiday/vacation homes.

Ads in different positions could feature a different image, bringing out the possible detail and space you get within each region.

Perhaps we need to brainstorm possible grand holiday-home image themes as well -- castle/mansion, winter resort, whatever...

Then each ad could have the same short bullet list of what you get for the $5 a month, perhaps focusing on prims and space.

Ilan, should mock-ups try to match the Kitely website fonts and colours, to maintain branding?

Probably someone already suggested this but how about "Another day, another world?" to highlight not only the possibility of moving to Kitely but the ease with which OAR files can be used to change the appearance of a region/world in Kitely? You could then have diary/calendar-related artwork.

hey, that is a very good idea!!! and maybe some different ways of saying it, rotating the adds to reach a wider audience.

are gifs still used much? i always liked that those could be rotated [or whatever] with different messages on each side-))

used to be free proggies to create them easily...dunno, i dont feel like doing a search
