Are there any freebie worlds that are general rated?

If both ratings are included that should help everyone, shouldn't it?

I suspect that one of the problems here is that some of the freebie items included in the standard LK OARs are in fact rated M, which means that all such items (poses, lingerie, etc.) would have to be manually removed by the world host. I actually removed a few items from the boardwalk clothing shop when setting up Donnybrook Beach (it started with the free LK Boardwalk OAR in the SW region). And Donnybrook Beach was intended to be an M-rated world.

As the author of the draft document being referenced I have no problem with the document being split up as needed and placed on note cards in the new KWC. I would like to eventually see a version of the document online somewhere on the Kitely website. For starters, its existence there might actually encourage some curious persons to actually check out Kitely for themselves when they otherwise would not have done so.

As far as putting it on the Kitely Wiki, why not? Isn't the idea behind a Wiki that you have multiple editors who can maintain the documents in the Wiki? All the work should not have to be done personally by Ilan or Oren. You would think that anyone they trusted enough to help build the KWC would also be trusted enough to be given edit authority for the Kitely Wiki.

Thanks, Deuce. It is a useful document, and I can imagine just how much time, effort and care has gone into writing it.

With regard to the need for General-rated freebies for avatars, perhaps we need to think of starting afresh, or perhaps hosting a "store" on an existing General-rated world. That is, of course, if there ARE any General-rated freebies for avatars in the first place -- does anyone know?

But this freebie discussion should probably be in a new thread so that the current thread can focus on the "Getting Started" document.

Deuce--I would be glad to post the document on my blog as an invited post by you. Perhaps I would want to split it up or do some rearranging for web page presentation. This would go under my newcomer help section. I curate the blog and carry links to posts at the top of the blog, so evergreen posts like this one get lasting display. My main newcomer help page, for example, has over 56,000 visits since 2012. The contents of this section mainly reference SL for now, but new content will mainly refer to Opensim and Kitely.

Selby - I would be happy to see the document posted on your blog. You have my permission to edit it as needed to fit in with your blog structure, and with the blog entries on Kitely that you already have active. I would appreciate credit somewhere, but please do make use of it however you can.
