As a software architect I am always curious when any online service goes down for not inconsequential time whether it is possible to so architect that system that all upgrades are hot with no user downtime at all but perhaps a slight effect on performance of some services.

But you guys are super competent and I am sure if there is a way to get there and if it fits with other things on your plate that it will be that way sooner or later.

Hi Serendipity,

We know what changes need to be made to enable us to update the system with much less (or undetectable) downtime but that's a project we haven't scheduled yet as there are still higher priority features that we need to implement first.
