Join us today at the Kitely Community Meeting (March 8)

Post by Ilan Tochner »

Today's Kitely Community Meeting will be held at 1:00pm PST in Kitely Welcome Center.

(See timezone information here: http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/time-z ... ific-time/)

Please note the time difference if you are located in Europe.

We'll begin with a short update about what we're currently working on and then discuss events and other group activities in Kitely.

Today's meeting will be short. We aim to finish the meeting by 2:00pm PST (60 minutes).

Some highlights from the meeting:
- Sales on the Kitely Market have more than doubled in the last 3 weeks since the current ad campaign began.
- More new merchants beginning to sell and existing merchants are expanding offerings.
- Dozens of new people signing up every day
- There was discussion of a greeter board
- Discussion of jobs in virtual worlds
- Discussion of getting more region owners to open up to "regular" account holders and hypergridders.
- Discussion of building contests and other contests (jousting!)
- Reminder of http://www.kitely.com/search when you are looking for something specific

Jousting?? Oooooh. I have a number of meshes that might be useful for that. In fact I think I have everything for jousting bar the actual horses and armor. Tents, spectator stands, weapons etc. If its a community project I would gladly contribute them because the chances of me scripting a full jousting game is....well, rather remote :). I also have a number of things for archery.

I could also spare some time to do in-world building classes and/or building competitions if there is enough interest.

Whoever is working on these two areas can contact me and I will be happy to help out. Ill make an effort to be at the next meeting this coming week too.

Hypergrid education community: Finding instruction on offer
If anyone is offering instruction (classes, workshops, tutorials), here is a place to list them:
http://virtualoutworlding.blogspot.com/ ... ation.html
Put a description here:
http://virtualoutworlding.blogspot.com/ ... ation.html
If the description has the needed information, or has a web page, I will pick it up in the blog article. I may also do a feature article on it.

And if it is Kitely, I hope you will list it on the Kitely calendar:
