Suggestion

It's possible someone has made this suggestion before, but I could find anything, so apologies if they have. My suggestion would be to make Ruth & Roth the default avatars in kitely, that way new comers will log into a shiny new mesh bento avatar.

One of the biggest complaints I hear from people visiting any kind of opensim grid, is the avatar is like the early days of second life, I don't think many people are even aware that mesh is over here, let alone bento.

There may be some legal reason why you can't do this, I don't know, but if not, would be great if you could.

I'd like Roth on my account, I had him on my opensim standalone, but with that I was able to load the .iar that comes with the kit, I have no idea how to get him into kitely, but would assume I would have to rig the avatar then save it as .dae. Rigging is not my strong point not even with avastar.

I don't know whether kitely staff can load the iar into my inventory.

Thank you Frank.

We can't distribute Ruth and Roth avatars because they are licensed using the AGPL, which is a very commercial-unfriendly license.

We don't support IAR uploads but you can upload content into Kitely using OAR files (rezz the content inside a region, save it to an OAR file, then upload that OAR file into your Kitely world).

Thank you for the responses, sorry for the delay in getting back, I've been really busy. I figured there would be some reason why it couldn't be done. I will do as you suggested with an oar file once I buy a region, which is on my agenda, once I have more free time to spend online. It's good to know about the oar files as I have a localhost version of opensim on my pc where I had been making a few things, will save a lot of time if I don't have to reconstruct stuff.
