Today's Kitely Community Meeting will be held at 1:00pm PDT in Kitely Welcome Center.

The meeting will be a social gathering with an opportunity for newcomers to ask questions and old hands to exchange information about projects and events.

We'll start by answering any questions that you may have about the Kitely grid and our limited time offer for Mega Worlds.

We'll then take questions about our Organizations (virtual grids) offering and our features for supporting large multi-world events.

If you haven't seen this already, please view the video in this blog post that demonstrates the results of our optimization efforts.

There will then be time for Kitely and non-Kitely members to discuss whatever else meets your fancy. Please join us.

At the Kitely Community Meeting, Ilan raised the possibility of inworld land sales for larger worlds (Advanced+). If that were implemented, would the land parcel owners be allowed the same OSSL functions as Estate Manager? See Kitely's list of supported OSSL functions.

Another request from the meeting was to have ocean rather than flat land regions when creating or expanding worlds. Quite a few of us would appreciate that option.

We've discussed this and we'll add the option to select ocean rather than flat land when creating or expanding worlds.

As for the allowed OSSL functions for parcel owners, please see this comment in OsslEnable.ini

Allowing ossl functions for anyone owning a parcel can be dangerous especially if a region is selling or otherwise giving away parcel ownership. By default, parcel ownership or group membership does not enable OSSL functions.

In Kitely, we allow Parcel owners to use osSetParcelMediaURL but they aren't able to use the other script functions that are normally restricted to World Owners and Estate Managers. If there is a specific function that you think we should add then we can evaluate it, but keep in mind that the threat levels specified in OsslEnable.ini are there for a reason and that when they are ignored it can cause a lot of unwanted consequences to both World Owners, to their world's visitors, and to Kitely itself.

Sorry for the double post, but what is the timescale for the ocean option?

If it's a matter of a week or so, I'll hold back on changing Intersections to a Mega World to save me some work.

We'll be adding a few things relating to Mega Worlds in about a week, including the option to create a 6x6 region sized Mega World (for people who prefer that instead of 8x8), the option to select ocean instead of flat land when enlarging worlds or creating new ones, and the ability to sell parcels using the viewer tools.
