No Kitely Mentors Group meeting this week (Nov 20)
We're busy working on trying to get our upcoming site update ready for deployment before the weekend so I won't be able to conduct the meeting this week.
The next Kitely Mentors Group meeting will take place next week on November 27.
If you haven't done so already, please take a minute to fill in the Hypergrid Business annual grid survey. The results of this survey are quoted in many websites and can have a real effect on the number of new users who join Kitely. See: http://www.kitely.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=905

Just as an FYI, Thursday November 28th is a major national holiday here in the United States - Thanksgiving. So expect reduced turnout from the USA contingent of the Mentor's Group on the 27th. I doubt that I'll be able to make it.Ilan Tochner wrote: The next Kitely Mentors Group meeting will take place next week on November 27.

Would it be OK if the rest of us still met informally? Those that would like to, that is.
The weekly meetings are a good way of getting to know each other and help to build up the sense of community.

Strange that, Sarge. I was wondering whether us Europeans might do much the same.

Of course it would be okay Dot, the fact that I can't attend shouldn't stop other people from meetingDot Matrix wrote:Would it be OK if the rest of us still met informally? Those that would like to, that is.

A few of us dropped by the meeting place in the Welcome Center yesterday (thanks, all!). We chatted generally about various things, including speculation about the forthcoming upgrade to OpenSim 0.7.6, how the lack of lag means clothing textures can be considerably improved, various gadgets people are making, cats, how builders and renters might be encouraged via "showcase homes", rental possibilities, comparative costs, oysters, the need to feel "at home", building community...
