Worked on several offshore rigs back in the early 80s. One was Penrod 52, that submerged itself after a blowout '83 I think. The Gulf is a great place to work, gorgeous skies. I'm sure the emergency vehicles have improved since, but the fibreglass ones we had were a hoot. They were mostly submerged during operation, so you got a good view of those hammerheads that were everywhere around the rigs
