Post by Shandon Loring »

i'm messing around with a bunch of different .oar files in the next few days for a project..
if anyone is interested in popping in to see what they look like please feel free to visit my worlds page at:
https://www.kitely.com/search?q=shandon+loring&org=*
there is more than one page so scroll forward...
anything that ends in a .tmp is one of the new ones

anyway...
sometimes it's nice to see an oar laid out, no guarantee how long these will be up, but drop by if you wanna.
most of these are from the 200+ collect at:
https://www.outworldz.com/cgi/freesculpts.plx?q=OAR-

Hey folks,
I am going to opine on some of these OARs as I made/created myself under the name Minethere Always (a weird name to be sure lol).
I'm just sitting back enjoying my little forest in Texas. Very relaxed.

So the first is that steampunk OAR.

This combines a lot of Arcadia's items as well as (ok this is why I should not comment), I just can't remember her name at the moment, who was a prolific creator.

There are some fun places to go: atop that high mountain is a birdnest, which is a bit eclectic for the whole build. Sunbeam, as the note on Outworldz mentions, built a nice little area to sit. She is doing well, we still email. A bit of sadness to those who may have known of her. Her husband died. He and she had built AAcme city in Inworldz which was a preeminent build. I think they also built it on another grid or two. Somebody may have it saved maybe.

Anyway, there is this fun forest next to the building/bar/dancing venue that scales nicely.
There are some poses for musicians on the beach on the left side of the island that people can sit on.
Lots and lots of free stuff all around with lots of scripts. It's an old build so some things will be out of date and no longer work as they did then. But still, it's a fun build and I am glad it has been preserved to disseminate to others.

peace

The "mermaid" OAR (read the attached notes on the website) is a collaborative build by several creators.

At that time, I was busy creating lands, selling some, eventually following Linda, and giving it all away.

Below water is also full of nice landscaping, and tons of freebie creations and scripts. I can't remember much else, but it is pretty.

adios

Ok, the "Arrakis" note shows "unknown author" but in fact I created it. (I don't care about it not attributing me, I just wanted to mention it as I am doing these posts)

It's a simple build but has some interesting scripts (if they still work) and other creations by various authors.

The OAR "Retreat" is another I put together. I rather like this one. I created the land. (ok, I'm thinking there is another word for "land").

There are tons of Linda Kellie creations on it. It's a fun build to keep around, I think, anyway.

The "La quête de l'Illumination [The Quest for Illumination]" is a fun build. There are traps and it is kinda like a game to reach the top. Many obstacles and wrong turns. Lots of good freebies. The photo leaves out many details.

Carpe diem!

The "Chinese" OAR is another of mine not attributed. "Unknown Author" is used. That is, again, ok.

I forgot how much I liked this one. Repeat the above comments. I expect anyone will like this to at least keep it around in their hard drive. There is so much stuff.
