The Winter Gardens of
Intersections include a couple of Spades card tables plus board games from RezMela. Wander through the woods to find them -- but make sure to dress up warm.
To get to the Summer Palace, where you can play Spades without shivering with cold, type "gth 2005" at the main landing spot.

As an experiment, I've set up a week-long continuous public event on one of
Dundridge's Event Boards. This feeds into the
large Events board on the Kitely Welcome Center and elsewhere.
The games can be played by two to four players; just go with a few friends and while away an hour or two.

Newly installed at the ground level is a
Social Photo Studio by Brayla Sana. To quote from Brayla's Market blurb:
The Brayla Sana Photo Studio is designed with friends in mind.
While there are plenty of excellent photo studios available in the Metaverse, and they have plenty of features, this studio is unique in its social design. All controls are available to be used by everyone. This is by design!
Have a photo party with friends -- chat and take photos of your latest outfits.
Included are over 45 poses, 94 backdrops, and true photo-style lighting. 3 switchable pose stands allow friends to pose together. Also included is a custom controller for controlling the lighting and backdrops. In addition, there is a changing room to switch outfits in private.
To find the studio, turn around at the landing spot -- you'll see the studio at the end of the road.
Just one rule: please keep in mind that Intersections is "General" rated. That said, have fun!

While wandering around Intersections, I realised that the Winter Gardens would work as a sky build, as well as the Summer Palace. Since the build mostly uses mesh items from Kitely Market, it is very efficient in terms of prim numbers. So merging the build with the newer
Vespers looked to be a possibility.
To do this, I first exported both Intersections and Vespers using the Kitely web interface.
The next step was to load Intersections into SoaS, but at a different height. The latest version of OpenSim enables this in a single console command. I saved the result as another OAR. Next I loaded the OAR for Vespers into SoaS, then merged it with the new raised Intersections. The sequence of console commands looks something like this:
Code: Select all
load oar --displacement <0,0,1200> intersections.oar
save oar intersections1200.oar
load oar vespers.oar
load oar --merge intersections1200.oar
save oar vespers-intersections.oar
The final result I uploaded to Vespers in Kitely, using the Kitely web interface.
Since Vespers now includes the key attractions of Intersections, I will be closing hypergrid access to Intersections over the next couple of weeks. So please update links and bookmarks -- thanks!

That's a cool use of the new console commands. I had made a note of some here:

rotate scene 90 - Any number from 0 to 360 can be used for the degrees.
scale scene 0.5 - for example, shrinks every object on a region to half its original size.
translate scene 0, 0, 100 - you can also move everything over... for example, to move everything in a region 100 meters up in the air.
