Micrographia is a really impressive creation, Graham. Just exactly the kind of place that can teach history in a way that you hardly realizing how much you are learning. I think immersive worlds are the future of history. :-)

Thanks for the kind words, Serene. While I doubt Micrographia will reach professional standards without a complete rebuild, my current aims are to finish the first draft and to make it simpler to navigate without my avatar "filling in the gaps". The arrival area will also have a basic inworld orientation.

I should add that the museum and library staff were most impressed by the tour pictures!

I think most virtual worlds are iterative from what I've seen. They keep evolving and changing.

By the way, make sure your staff see these photos from Wizardoz Chrome. She is a fabulous photographer of the hypergrids. https://plus.google.com/+WIZARDOZCHROME ... hM9JxeZcPM

With 2015 drawing to a close so does the 350th anniversary of the publication of Hooke's Micrographia, the book that inspired the build. While the build didn't get finished it isn't going away. Still, it seemed like a good time to draw a few strands together and reflect on Hooke and the imperfect build. https://slate.adobe.com/cp/uOGoa/. I should point out that it's one of those annoying scrolling web pages :)
