2007 was a year of wanting to make positive changes – I started an environmental awareness blog “Climate of Our Future.”

Having researched the Pacific gyre and seeing all the plastics accumulating on our ocean floor was devastating to me; to learn at that time it was twice the size of Texas.

In my research I discovered a Marine Biologist who has an incredible love for our oceans. Dr. Wallace J. Nichols, Ph.D. “J”. J was a frequent contributor to Climate of Our Future and allowed the use of any resources he had. He still does, thank you J. His philosophy The Blue Mind Rx: Our Waters Can Be Lifelong Medicine for All People. Is an important message that I wanted share virtually.

I began featuring his articles concerning our oceans health and discovered the mind-ocean connection which makes saving our ocean even more important to me.

Since I am unable to venture to the ocean, I realized I could immerse myself into virtual oceans and “feel” the neuro-water connection. Which I do. My virtual ocean brings those same feelings of neuro-connectivity. I have been spending hours landscaping and immersing myself in the beauty of the ocean floor. I have set the water to [NB] Sparkling Depths which is soothing like real life water.

J recently trademarked his work and has given me permission to share his content, thank you J.

I have been working on a living blue ocean project at Sierra Sonnet’s Sunrise Cove. An immersive look into our ocean. Interactive – utilizing notes to explain the aquatic life and the mind ocean connection. LiveBlue inspires us to fully immerse ourselves into the love of our oceans. J’s blue marble campaign reminds us of this. Rock stars, presidents, kids, scientists, artists, explorers, eco-celebrities, teachers, business leaders…even the Dalai Lama and the Pope have received blue marbles and gotten their Blue Mind on! I will be giving freely blue marbles virtually too. I have also created LiveBlue and BlueMind chokers to give freely too, supporting the philosophy.

Please feel free to stop by anytime to feel that Blue Mind connection.

Marianna your Living Blue project sounds absolutely awesome and I can't wait to come over and have a look! It breaks my heart to see when they show videos of our marine life being caught up in some of that waste plastic and even dying from it!
