Seanchai Library's newest storyteller - EdgarAllan Poe, in the pixel!!
New Kitely resident (and Seanchai partner) EdgarAllan Poe shared his world 'Midnight Dreary' with us for the evening. Seanchai Library will present further stories here, using the world name of "OCTOBERWORLD".
Mr. Poe began with a reading of his poem 'The Raven', a wonderfully mournful and languishing tale. Followed by a chilling story of a supernatural storm haunting one man and his family. The evening closed with a downright creepy tale 'The Piano Man' about a killer piano and the being within!
We enjoyed the attendance of several Kitely guests, as well as a couple of visitors in Second Life attending via Simulcast. Kitely's own Kayaker Magic (owner of Ocean Engineering in Kitely Market) provided some nice special effects for the thunderstorm! Seanchai currently has several of Kayakers products in use at several of our worlds, including an awesome surfing wave and boards at BEACHWORLD).
We had a mysterious sudden disappearance of half our guests in the middle of the show... apparently Shandon forgot to stock the coffers for OCTOBERWORLD prior to the show!! So all non-premium members got ejected! Oops!! Fortunately Mr. Poe did not get booted, so was able to finish the show for guests still in attendance, then do a live 'replay' for other guests once we got everyone back in.
As noted last week, we're still learning some valuable things about our very different venues here in Kitely, and working through some different challenges. Once we get things smoothed out, then we'll start making plans for our actual Grand Opening here.
In the meantime, we're encouraging folks to spread the word about us to all grids, to come to our stories, visit our worlds, play at various activities our worlds offer (like hiking, surfing, ice skating, etc), themed shopping, and just general exploring as we work to improve the experiences we offer.

The Seanchai Library is excited and very encouraged to continue our program in Kitely. We’re still working out the details and smoothing the road.. so the Grand Opening is a little ways off yet. But we will continue presenting stories.
